    Hi there, peace and blessings!

My name is Abdullah, and I am going through a wandering and nomadic phase of life after working in London for around three years (My work was with the United Nations and related to Climate Change and Sustainability). Now, I just want to keep walking (literally or metaphorically) - and since most of human history, we were foragers and nomads, perhaps this is less of a phase and just a more natural way to live, and I'll see where the path takes me.

I started traveling in June in Europe, with the intention/direction to go back to Pakistan by land, but keeping an open mind to see where the path takes me. I have now arrived in Turkey, loving it so far, and am planning to spend a few months wokringaway in this Region.

I like being close to nature/earth/plants, music, poetry, walking/hiking, and keeping my body in motion as much as possible. I also have an academic side, so I like to keep learning about whatever questions come up. Before coming to Turkey, I spent three weeks hiking and camping in Switzerland on the via Alpina hiking trail - which my body feels grateful for.

I am 29 years old and originally from Pakistan, where I lived till my undergraduate. After that, I went to US for master's program in 2019 and then eventually from there to the UK for work.

Via workaway, I am looking forward to finding work in which my body can be in action, I can be close to the earth, be in fresh air, contribute to something, and eat fresh and chemicals free food as much as possible. I also value having community/family and sharing meals and eating together.

Thank you for your time - and I hope you have a good day, month, and life!

    Best wishes,
    Abdullah

  • Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am physically fit, thankfully, so hopefully I should be fine to do most types of physical work.

My family also comes from a farming background and has some farmland stil in our village (which we visit every now and then), but we settled into the city a few decades back. Now, I would love to get back to our land, and start growing trees there and farm as much as possible.

I have worked in the hopsitality and tourism space for some time in Pakistan, so working on campsites, hostels, etc. comes easily and naturally.

But I am happy and willing to learn all types of skills and work (farming, sheparding, carpentry, building houses, etc).
