Beschreibung

I am an easy going, friendly and social person from the UK. I have been travelling now for 6 months and have previously volunteered in a hostel in Nicaragua and Colombia. I really appreciate being able to not only meet but to talk to people from all over the world. I find the exchange of experiences and culture to be one of the most rewarding things. I enjoy being active and being able to see the impact of what I am doing on the people and places around me. I have been learning salsa for the last 2 years and really enjoy meeting new people through dance. During the last 6 months travelling through Central America I have really made the most of the opportunities to dance. Cooking also holds a close place in my heart and is something I have missed during my travels since being on the move so much hasn’t allowed me to be as adventurous with food as I would like to be.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Communication: I am friendly and approachable and really enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere. I worked at a university where I would be responsible for communicating with students and external I have volunteered in a hostel where my role was to make sure the guests were enjoying the activities.

Organization: A large aspect of my job as a technician was to organise and set up practical classes. This was useful during my volunteering position in Leon where it was my role to organise and get guests interested in the daily activities as well as making sure they ran smoothly.

Teamwork & Flexibility: I have worked in teams with people of various ages and backgrounds. I really enjoy working as a team since it allows you to hear different ideas and to adapt to them.

Teaching: For 3 years I helped to teach medical students during dissection classes. I really love helping people develop and grow new skills.

Cooking: I have always really enjoyed cooking and have assisted at soup kitchens as well as cooking all you can eat tacos at my volunteering spot in Leon.

Spanish: My Spanish is at a basic level (A2/3) but I really enjoy developing the skill and really want to improve. I am very keen to advance my Spanish through meeting and speaking with local people.
