Beschreibung

Hello there :), I'm Yannik and I'm completely new to the platform. I'm 29 years young and I'm from the beautiful city, Hamburg in Germany. My motivation to be on this platform is to find new opportunities to develop myself, meet new interesting people, make memories for life, making new friends, share positivity and of course find a place/people where I can help but in the same time being able to learn new things and get to know myself better! I always created happiness out of situation where I made people feel good, where I made my family and friends proud and where I achieved for me important things in life, like making my dreams come true through travel, overcoming difficulties in life or being just able to enjoy a beautiful Sunset and watch Waterfalls ( which is one of my little pleasure in life :) ). One of my biggest tasks ATM is to find happiness within me, therefore the best way of doing that, is to go on a new travel adventure. I have a Work and Travel Visa for Canada and want to start my journey in the next month and that's why I believe from past experiences that it would be the best to start, with a proper workaway experience, to connect/work with locals, get to know the country and culture and not to forget to make friends or even become a part of the family :D !

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In my life I did a lot of different jobs and could make experiences in different kind of fields.
Every time I'm back in my hometown I mostly work in restaurants and have more than 4 years experience working in different Restaurants as a Bartender, Waiter, Kitchenstaff and even short time Position as a store manager. All this positions thought me a lot about working with and for people, knowing how to talk to all kinds of different people, learning how to stay calm and collected in stressful situations, taking responsibilities, teaching people new to the job, how it's done properly and of course how to mix amazing drinks (non alcoholic drinks as well of course :) ). During my 3 years stay in Australia I worked more than one year of so many different farms that it would be to much to name them all, but I have no problem to make myself dirty and working in jobs that require physically strong people. On the farms I did things like planting, fruit picking, stacking, working in sheds, harvesting all kinds of different vegetables, driving the Tractor and even worked on a chicken farm which unfortunately weren't held in the best conditions, so I stopped this one after a couple of days. The other half of my stay in Australia I was working mostly in construction, working as a general labourer supporting all kind of different Craftsman, and working with all kinds of materials and different power-tools.
Besides my working experiences, I would say about myself, that I'm an open minded easy going person, I love to learn so its easy for me to adapt, I like to be part of something which makes me a good team player, I can get along with a lot of different personalities and as soon as I start a task I'm determined to finish it the best I can which makes me sometimes a perfectionist, but I'm working on being not so hard to myself :D

Was noch ...

I'm a person with a lot of interests, my favourite hobby is to learn new things and getting better in them. I love to do sports, I played 15 years football in my youth and tried different kind of sports like basketball, volleyball, paddle, waterski and swimming. At the moment I'm more into running and going to the gym to stay fit. I love history and I went already to a lot of old sights in Europe and Asia, my passion is to walk through old castles and buildings, reading books and watching movies about the past. Also the nature is fascinating to me and going on long hikes, or going camping on the weekend is one of the best therapies for me! Visiting waterfalls, climbing on small mountains :) or spending days on the beach in the water watching the sunrise and the sunset. I'm also an animal lover, I had a dog crowing up and I became friends with all the street dogs and cats that I met on the way. I could go on and on but there has to be still something to be discovered about me :D and I don't want bore you with more information about me :D!
