Kia ora!

We are Willam and Bettina, a married couple from New Zealand. We were both born in different countries (UK and Philippines, respectively) and from a young age we have had a passion for travelling the world.

In January 2023, we quit our jobs and set off on a 1-2 year world trip. We hope to travel as far and wide as possible, focusing mainly on Europe and South America. We have also travelled quite a lot in the past in Asia. By the end of our trip, we estimate that we will have visited 50+ countries between us, in 6 continents.

When travelling we get excited by seeing new and unique landmarks and landscapes. We especially love UNESCO world heritage sites and quirky/eccentric local oddities. Of course, we are also massive foodies and will try anything and everything at least once!

We really love the outdoors and nature. We have seen some amazing natural wonders such as the Northern Lights, the Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef and Milford Sound to name a few. We have good outdoors skills, we cope well in tough situations, and are very self-sufficient/self-reliant.

We are new to Workaway and we are looking forward to lies ahead. We hope to use Workaway as an opportunity to meet new people, experience new cultures, try new foods and make new memories!

- Both of us are good with our hands and enjoy physical labour, but we have no formal skills in the trades. Very happy to learn!
