Beschreibung

My name is Winok, and I'm a 28-year-old guy from Belgium.

I recently graduated (September 2025) with a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Movement Sciences. Over the past few months, I have been working to make my dream come true, which is traveling to a foreign country for enjoying a wonderful time after many years of being a student. I chose Chile as my next destination because, a few months ago, I didn’t know anything about this country (although I have done some research since then). The fact that I knew so little about Chile actually increased my curiosity and desire to travel there. I believe Chile has everything to offer that could make me a very happy person.

I'm a warm, calm and open minded person who loves spending time in nature. I enjoy new adventures, especially when they involve the outdoors. I truly believe nature is a great place to be, both physically and mentally.

I like discovering new things, places, and cultures to see what lies beyond my comfort zone and how I respond to these new experiences.

I have never been away from home for longer than three weeks, so going to Chile for three months is something that really excites me. I hope it will bring me many valuable insights, as I enjoy connecting with people who have different ways of living, thinking, and seeing the world. I hope that a potential Workaway experience in the near future will help me have one of the best experiences of my life, filled with meaningful social interactions, positive energy, and beautiful nature.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I enjoy doing physical work, like big heavy tasks but I also like smaller tasks that require patience and precision. I have great perseverance and I don't give up easily. I like it when people share ideas and work together. It’s always nice to be creative and to organize tasks in a way that uses everyone’s strengths.

I feel very motivated when people are nice, friendly and helpful to each other. I was a youth leader in the scouts for four years, which means I enjoy being social and creative, and I always try to think in the best interest of the group rather than myself.

While I was a student I had many different student jobs. For example: I cleaned rooms and corridors in hospitals, helped build events (scaffolding and bar constructions), worked as a bar manager, and worked as a lifeguard at a swimming pool. I don’t mind doing different kinds of work. As long as I can learn new things, it keeps me interested.

I’m also a big music lover and have already played as a DJ. In my free time, I enjoy long-distance running (marathons) or meeting friends for good conversations and fun times. I’m a bit of both: I don’t mind being alone because I enjoy calm and silence, but I also love having friends around to catch up, listen to each other’s struggles in life, make new memories together, and talk about future plans.

I’m also a bit of a hobby photographer, mainly working with analog photography (festivals and holidays). Now that I have the opportunity I would really like to explore digital photography in a broader context and learn to work with a professional camera to further develop this skill in a fun way.
