Hello! We are currently on a career break and excited to explore new places and meet new people.

Hello! 😊

We’re Verity and Carys, and we’re currently on a career break taking the chance to explore new places a bit more slowly. We both love being outdoors, whether that’s hiking, swimming or just spending time in nature, and we’re creative and curious people. Between us we’ve worked in museums and health, and studied zoology with a big interest in conservation.
What we love most about travelling, and why we really enjoy using Workaway, is the chance to meet other people and feel part of something.

We’ve had some really great Workaway experiences in the past and would be so happy to be part of yours. We’d love to hear from you!

We both like to learn languages! We have recently been learning Spanish and always like the chance to practise. We are both native English speakers and happy to help anyone wanting to practise their English. We have both taught English conversation classes in the past and really enjoyed it!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We hope we bring a range of helpful skills and experience, and we’re also very open-minded and excited to try new things and learn as we go!

Lots of childcare experience: worked with kids 4–18, including as a camp counsellor at a US summer camp and teaching English at a school in Indonesia. We love crafts, outdoor games and simple nature-based activities.

Creative and hands on: Verity works in museum design and enjoys creative problem solving and running workshops. We both love arty things like painting and photography.

Into nature and conservation: Carys has a biology background and is really interested in conservation.

Language exchange: always keen for a bit of language exchange, at the moment we are learning Spanish and are very happy to help others with learning English!

Other skills: between us we’ve worked in charities, hotel management, retail and at a children’s art club, so we’re happy to help with whatever needs doing!
