Hi Hosts,

We, Udo & Elles, are an friendly, enterprising, responsible and very experienced couple from The Netherlands. With great pleasure and dedication we do Workaway projects and look after houses and animals as profesional housesitters. Most of the year we are ‘on the road’. For us it is very nice to combine travelling, (Workaway) projects and house sitting. This is our ‘way of life’.

We are a happy couple for many years and we are both highly educated. We are non-smokers, open minded, respectful, quiet, tidy and clean and we have a great sense of responsibility. For us is a balanced and healthy lifestyle important. We love the outdoors, mountain hiking, cycling and kayaking.

We are passionate about travelling the world and experiencing new cultures, meet new people and places. We have always traveled a lot together and have our own small 4x4 pickup camper. For authentic experiences, we feel that the best way is to live as a local. The Workaway projects allows us to immerse ourselves into the local community and culture. That’s great and we love it!

Elles has over 20 years of experience as a Facility Manager in business services in the centre of Amsterdam. She was responsible for e.g. security, cleaning, building maintenance and catering. Elles also enjoys being creative with fabrics and handicrafts.
Udo is an independent entrepreneur, project manager and consultant Water and Environment Management for large infrastructure projects. In addition, Udo works as a sound healer with ancient Tibetan singing bowls and sings mantras. He gives Sound sessions at Yoga schools and Health centers and we organize this together.

Together we are a mature and professional team, all-round, enthusiastic and solution-oriented; there is a solution for everything! We speak Dutch, English and a little Spanish.
We both have agricultural roots and grew up taking care of different animals such as dogs, cats, poultry and small livestock. But also horses and ponies.

Beside that, we are both highly educated and experienced in garden design and -maintenance. At our own Dike house in The Netherlands we have created a beautiful garden. We did the maintenance of several different large gardens in Spain and England including vegetable gardens and preparing it for winter. Also we are experienced with campsite maintenance, (off-grid) life in the countryside and the associated systems.

In summary, we are looking for:
-Working in the garden, forest and farm
-Campsite and Guesthouse; maintenance and management
-Inspiring connections and collaboration with retrait/wellness places for Body & Mind
-(Long term) combination of house sitting with the above activities

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both have good social and communicative skills. Others skills are: Water- and projectmanagement, gardening, facility management, handicrafts, care for animals and houses.
We like to be outside, working with our hands, not afraid of getting dirty or work hard. In every task, we will do it as well as we can. Handy, problem solvers and motivated.

Was noch ...

While traveling we live in our small pick-up camper, with or without awning tent.
At a workaway address we like to use an accommodation or at least a bathroom and living room.
We are social but also independent and cook ourselves. Of course we also like to share dinner.
