I will be in Colombia for at least 3 months. Please reach out if you'd like to travel together! I like to move at a relaxed pace, I don't drink alcohol or party, but I always love to laugh and play!

Beschreibung

I've been a massage therapist for the past 17 years. I've got a passion for travel, camping, backpacking (trekking), horseback riding, snowboarding, cooking, Vipassana meditation, and generally living each day to its fullest. I love to explore new places, meet new people, see live music and comedy. I closed my business to travel the world in June of 2023. About two months into the journey I got in an argument with a Mongolian pony and had to get a helicopter ride out of the Mongolian steepes back to Ulaanbaatar. Here is your reminder that paying a few bucks for travel insurance is essential if you like to do fun things in remote places. I had a massive knee surgery in October 2023 and I'm now back on my feet again and traveling a bit slower but going just as far.

2024 was spent mostly in Mexico teaching English, house/dog sitting, saving sea turtles, and working reception at a hostel in Bacalar. I am currently in Colombia and hope to be in South America most of this year. I am excited for the challenges and joys that this new adventure will present. I am looking forward to making meaningful connections with the people and animals within our vast and beautiful planet.

I grew up in rule Alabama, USA on a farm like setting. I was a pre-veterinary major my first couple of years of university before switching to a conservation biology/Zoology focus. I realized I didn't want to go to medical school, but instead had a passion for the outdoors and preserving the earth for myself and all types of wildlife. I'm interested in experiencing local culture, food, and outdoors activities. I lived in a small mountain town in Colorado for 3 years before relocating to Seattle, Washington for the past 15years. I am excited to embark on this lifechanging odyssey serving others and our beautiful planet in whatever capacity I am able.

-I have been a small business owner for 15 years so have some basic computer, bookkeeping skills.
-I served tables and cooked in restaurants for many years in a small ski town so I have basic hospitality and service skills.
-I have basic first aid knowledge
-I have worked on farms and grew up working, riding, and long distance racing horses.
-I am TEFL certified for teaching English abroad
-I have a severe knee injury so some types of manual labor I will be unable to perform.

I enjoy playing board games, reading, movies, hiking, photography, meditation, and mostly playing outside as much as possible. I rarely drink alcohol so prefer not to stay in a party atmosphere. I love to cook and learn how to cook local foods.
