Soy inglesa y vivo en la hermosa zona del norte de Inglaterra. Empecé a aprender español en 2021. Ahí nació mi pasión por el idioma y el país. Soy una persona tranquila, constante y trabadadora. ¡Si digo que voy a hacer algo, lo hago! Tengo un huerto cerca de mi casa, me encanta cultivar mis verduras, hortalizas y frutas, cocinarlas y conservarlas. Mis otros pasatiempos son, entre otros practicar yoga y cantar en un coro.

Pasé unos meses en 2022 y 2023 en España para mejorar mi español. En febrero y marzo del 2023 como voluntaria, impartí mis propios talleres sobre comida y bebida de Reino Unido en escuelas para los adultos y también a adolescentes. De esa manera conocí a profesores y estudiantes, y nos caímos muy bien. Me han dicho que soy una persona innovadora y adaptable.

Mis objetivos para el Workaway son mejorar mi español, conocer a una familia y la gente del lugar en España, y explorar la diversidad de España más profundamente. Por eso, prefiero una familia de hispanohablantes. Estoy buscando un workaway para enero del 2024 en las Canarias. Soy una persona adaptable y puedo aprender a hacer cosas con bastante rápidez.

Como tengo planeadas otras actividades en España para febrero 2024, es muy importante para mi llegar a un acuerdo serio y firme.

I am English and live in a beautiful area of the north of England. I started to learn Spanish in 2021. From this developed my passion for the language and the country. I am a calm and hardworking person. If I say I will do something, I do it! I have a garden and allotment near my house where I love to grow my own fruit and vegetables, and both cook and preserve them. My other hobbies include yoga and I sing in a choir.

During 2022 and 2023 I spent some months in mainland Spain improving my Spanish. In February and March 2023, I volunteered in schools in Spain, preparing workshops on British food and drink and delivering them to English language students - both adults and teenagers. Through this I got to know teachers and students and we got on very well. I've been told I'm an innovative and adaptable person.

My objectives for Workaway are to improve my Spanish, get to know and help a family and the local people within an area. For this reason, I would prefer a family of Spanish speakers. I am looking for a Workaway for January 2024 in the Canaries. As I have other plans in Spain for February, it is very important for me to have a firm and serious agreement.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Crecí en una pequeña granja y ahora tengo un huerto, entonces sé cómo plantar y cuidar frutas y verduras. Me encanta cocinar y puedo improvisar con los ingredientes que tengo disponibles. Durante un año trabajé en una cocina profesional, un un día a la semana además de mi trabajo normal. He sido vountario con adultos y niños en el Reino Unido y España. Trabajo en una Universidad en Administración de Empresas, así que estoy muy bien organizada y realmente me encanta la administración! Me llevo bien con muchos tipos de personas y puedo construir relaciones positivas complicadas, basadas en la confianza mutua y tener un poco de diversión.

I grew up on a small holding and now have an allotment, so I know how to plant and care for fruit and vegetables. I love cooking and can improvise with the ingredients that I have available. For a year, I worked in a professional kitchen one day a week, in addition to my usual job. I work in Business Administration in a University so I am very organised and actually love administrative work! I get on well with lots of types of people and can build positive relationships quickly based on mutual trust and having a bit of fun.
