Some of my passions in life are pediatric nursing, traveling, and enjoying nature. I’ve always had a strong desire to help others. Helping people and making them happy, brings me joy. I especially love caring for children, they will always have a special place in my heart (along with animals). One of my favorite things in the world is traveling. I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning/trying new things. I have met some incredible humans on my journeys and look forward to meeting and learning from more. :) Nature is my happy place. I really enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains, music and laughter around a campfire, the beauty of sunrise/sunset and bright stars on a peaceful, clear night. I love the beach as well. I am an active and adventurous person. I like sports and playing games. Yoga has changed my life in a beautiful way. I’m looking forward to my first workaway experience. I’m excited to spread kindness, love, and joy while learning some new things and exploring this beautiful world!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have been a pediatric nurse for 10 years. This job requires many skills. I am compassionate and hardworking. I am calm and composed during intense situations. I am a great multitasker, critical thinker, and problem solver. I am kind, friendly, helpful, and honest. I like working with people and get along well with others. I love children and caring for them. I am very knowledgable about how to take care of children and teach/communicate/play with kids. Nurses are also teachers, we are constantly educating our patients and their families.

Before becoming a nurse and while studying for my nursing degree, I worked in many restaurants as a waitress and/or hostess.

My first volunteering experience was in 2022 at a hostel on Korčula Island in Croatia. I welcomed guests, worked reception, cleaned the hostel, did laundry, and cooked and prepared meals for the other volunteers/staff. When the season slowed down I helped with other tasks to help fix up/freshen up the hostel for the next season. I sandpapered and spray painted gates and window shutters, pressure washed the deck and outside areas. I also painted the exterior and interior of the hostel. At this time I also worked some evenings as a waitress at Konoba Nona restaurante nearby the hostel. It was an incredible experience.

I worked with/assisted a private chef for a family in Spain for the summer of 2023. I helped him prepare meals for the family. I also cleaned the house and helped care for the children. I helped teach the children English, while they helped me learn Spanish.

Was noch ...

In recent years I have become very interested in the eco farm/permaculture lifestyle. It is a dream of mine to have my own piece of land and practice a self-sustaining lifestyle. I would love the opportunity to work with and learn from people who are living this way. Van life also has my interest. And I want to learn to surf! :)
