Hi, my name is Petra. I have to admit, I am not that young anymore. I am a retired journalist, but still writing for travel and women magazines. I like traveling, but all alone sometimes it can be a bit boring, because you cannot share your special moments with anybody. That is why workaway is such a great idea – even if you are not that young anymore. Working or helping abroad makes you feel easily at home. You make friends with the locals. They can show you their favorite places and their way of life. On top, you have the great opportunity to learn a new language or improve those you have already learned. All these points prevent you of getting old. I hope at least! 2024 I spent three month as a "granny aupair" in Munich and last year I had the great opportunity to be part of a family with four kids near Paris. A great experience! Now I am looking forward to new adventures.

Mehr Infos zu meinen Sprachinteressen
I speak German as native language. Since I come from the northern part of Germany I do not have any dialect or accent. I speak English fluently (I studied English to become a teacher). My French is not too bad. Italian? Well, I am just a beginner. But it would be great if someone could teach me this beautiful language. As a „granny aupair“ I would like to teach German, but I could also help children in their homework in English or French.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am an openminded reliable person and I can lend a hand wherever it is needed. I like to cook and bake. I like to teach children the German language by spending time with them, playing and talking to them. I own a house with a garden, therefore I know what to do insight and outsight. I have a driving licence and I am a safe driver.

I like to be outdoor. I love hiking in winter and summer. For years I have practiced Aikido, and now I do Nordic Walking and go regularly to the gym.
