Geia sas! (Greek hello which means 'I wish you health').

Greetings from Alkistis & Padelis,

We are easy-going, kind, extrovert and like meeting new people and making friends. We love to interact with others, share experiences and learn about different cultures.
We have a deep respect for nature and love outdoor activities.
We are skilled professionals in many levels and have a lot to offer.

This is our third attempt to try a different lifestyle with workaway and we want it more than anything! We really love the "well-done" work and we are not scared of what we don't know.
The past 3 years we have developed our skills, further our careers, and above all broaden our minds. We believe that Workaway is the perfect opportunity to combine all that with travelling.

A few words about us......
Padelis has 10+ years of experience in Physical education and sports in some of the best private schools in London and Alkistis is the creative one, with 7+ years of experience as a Graphic & Fashion Designer.

We both have Postgraduate education along with plenty other certifications & skills.
Padelis is a qualified teacher in swimming, lifeguarding, gymnastics, football, netball amongst other sports and Alkistis is certified in graphic design, Website design, 3D Printing software, Illustrator & Photoshop and loves photography and digital promotion work.

Last but not least, due to our Greek genes we are very good at cleaning and cooking as well as gardening and doing renovation work! For example, during our last Workaway, we stayed at a lovely family's house in Corfu and Padelis was helping in house renovation and Alkistis was helping in gardening and cooking!

As mentioned before we have a deep respect for this opportunity and we will offer our best skills!

Our skills have variety!

Alkistis has built her own website from scratch (www.alkistiskournianou.com) so she knows a lot about website design, graphic design, photography and media promotion as well as costing and admin work. She is a fluent English speaker and could easily teach others.

She has great taste in cooking and really likes to keep things in order by housekeeping and cleaning.
Padelis is a PE teacher who loves children and sports!
His main priority is being active and loves teaching others how to do that as well.
He have also worked in renovating his house in Greece, and has experience in house painting , building and general maintenance.
We come from Crete, an island where we are used to producing our own olive oil, wine, milk, vegies and honey, we are capable of taking care of animals and have an innate skill in gardening.

What matters the most to us is to create great memories, provide help to others and hopefully meet some great people along the way!
