Hello workawayers and hosts! 👋 I'm Nina. Currently I live in Sweden, but I am eager to embark on new adventures, meet inspiring people, and contribute my skills to meaningful projects.

What motivates me is the opportunity to engage in cultural exchange, learn from diverse perspectives, and collaborate on projects that make a positive impact. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it's connecting with nature, immersing myself in different cuisines, or simply learning new skills.

I am greatly interested in bettering my Spanish! I already speak at a good conversational level, I've studied Spanish at a B2 level, but I'd like to be able to speak like a native. Being half latina myself it is a goal of mine to be able to better connect to my own heritage and family by advancing my Spanish. :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am currently in my first year at Lund University, pursuing courses in psychology, creativity, and film. Although I've held three jobs, they were concentrated within a shorter timeframe. In my initial role, I served as an assistant at a design office. Following that, I worked at the city's largest tourist attraction—a centuries-old church (the oldest in northern Europe!). My responsibilities included maintenance tasks and assisting tourists during guided tours.

Subsequently, my third and most recent job involved working at a daycare, where I engaged with children aged 4-6, many of whom had special needs. This experience was incredibly enriching, providing me with valuable insights for which I am truly grateful.

I am a Sweden native, born and raised, but my diverse heritage stems from my immigrant parents—one from Argentina and the other from Poland. This background has afforded me the opportunity to immerse myself in various cultures and languages, an asset I believe will greatly contribute to my work on workaways.

Was noch ...

I've studied Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo for ten years, but for the past few years I've taken a break. I'd love to get into martial arts again though, so if you know of a dojo close to you, let me know ;). I also have a diving certificate, I love the ocean and it's always so cool to see all the fishes that hide under the waves. And as basic as it may sound, I love movies! I've already taken two courses on film, so I'm always down for a movie marathon.
