Hello fellow hosts and workawayers,
My name is Annika and I'm would love to learn about nature, permaculture, (agro-)forestry, culture and people.
Since I grew up in a rural region of Germany with lots of conventional agriculture, I could see how this way of producing food was exploiting the environment, people and animals. I knew back then that I wanted to take part in changing this system. After finishing school I moved to Berlin and have lived there for the past 6 years. First doing my Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering and then my Master's Degree in Urban Ecosystem Sciences. So I have some theoretical knowledge about environmental issues and also a tiny bit of knowledge about gardening, as I'm part of a communal gardening project in Berlin. But I would really love to learn more about larger scale/ self-sufficient sustainable food production systems, especially permaculture.
I would also love to meet people from all over the world and form new connections with like-minded people.

I know how to cook, have some basic experience with gardening and growing fruit and I can also work with most of the tools needed for wooden constructions (saws, hammer, drills).
I'm would also love to help with any kind of animal related tasks, but don't have much experience on that.

I like to play hula hoop and am keen to learn some more hoop tricks or any other kind of flow arts and would also be interested to do yoga.
