Farmstay in Gran Canaria

Beschreibung

Update --- I'm on my second farmstay on Gran Canaria, that will last until end of March (2026). I may stay here longer or could be available for another farmstay. I prefer a midterm or a longterm stay.

Hi. I'm 43 years old, in good physical shape. I have lived in Sweden most of my life but originally I'm from the Balkans. I tend to be a quiet person who likes good humour and good company. Chemistry is important to me, that we click. So it would be a good idea to talk before we decide anything.

Last winter I spent almost two months on Gran Canaria. Staying at a hostel in Las Palmas, and exploring the city and the rest of the island from there. It was a great experience for me, leaving my comfortzone and meeting new people.

This year I want to be closer to nature.
I want to learn more about farming, permaculture, land regeneration and rainwater retention.

I've had a seasonal job (apr-okt) in a private company that is taking care of the greenery (flowerbeds, hedges, bushes) in various neighbourhood areas. This year (2025) was my second season. There I've gained experience of working with heavy machines like a string trimmer and hedge trimmer, among other things.

Now I'm ready to move on and try out different farmstays. I think it is a natural step for me to continue working outdoors with physical tasks. So contact me if you need a good, serious worker for your farm. My english is very good. I'm a beginner at spanish (started learning from mar 2024).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

A good, responsible and reliable worker. I try to keep my apartment tidy. Know some basic cooking. Exercise through walking, jogging and biking to keep fit.

I've had a simple life in an small town. I tried to care for the environment by recycling my waste. Buying second hand goods. I've never owned a new smartphone. This is my fourth old one, that I through the years have received from family and friends. My main mode of transportation have been my bike and public transport. No car in the last 15 years. But I've driven a car in my recent jobs. Now I want to live closer to nature.

I like hiking, cycling, reading, watching older movies. I speak several languages.

It is a new chapter in my life. Through different farmstays I want to have a simple life closer to nature. I want to learn as much as possible about farming and support farms that practice permaculture principles and regenerative agriculture.

  I prefer to cook with butter instead of olive oil. I'm not sure if my stomach can handle it well, too much olive oil. Vegetrian food is fine as long as there is rice, pasta or bread provided.
