Hello! My name is Natsumi, and I’m from Japan 🇯🇵

From January to June 2026, I studied Fine Art at Engelsholm Højskole in Denmark. During my time there, I met many people who value time, community, and everyday life, and I was deeply inspired by their way of living. It made me want to experience a different culture more deeply and explore ways of living beyond what I have known in Japan.

I would like to stay in the Nordic countries until the end of 2026, while gaining inspiration from Nordic art and design. ✨

After graduating with a degree in Fashion Design, I worked for a company specializing in organic cotton. Since then, I have developed a strong interest in organic materials, sustainability, and environmentally conscious ways of living and creating.

I would like to transform the experiences I gain into artwork through my own perspective. The themes I am currently exploring are love, happiness, work, food, everyday life, and the beauty of nature.

Through Workaway, I have been inspired by experiencing different values and ways of living. 🤍🌿

I’m interested in many different things. I enjoy sewing, knitting, glass art, photography, drawing, Japanese calligraphy, spending time in nature, and making things with my hands. I especially love exploring creative processes, practical projects, and thoughtful design.

I’m still learning English, so I would be very happy to practice through conversations. I’m also very curious about your life journey and how you came to live the way you do today. I would love to share experiences, learn from each other, and have meaningful conversations. 🙌
