Gardening, (medicinal) herbs, being outdoors, learning about alternative education forms (worldschooling, forest schools, home schooling, ...) and living closer to nature.

Beschreibung

Hello,

We are a Belgian family of 3: Jeroen(34), Nathalie(34) and Merel(4) in search of our first work-away experience. We are constantly looking for a positive way of approaching life. Traveling less capitalistic and most of all real, this work-away concept seems interesting by learning new skills and helping others in return.

Being close to family and friends, tranquility and hiking in nature brings us happiness and peace. We also enjoy the occasional philosophical conversation by the fire.

We decided to travel in the spring and summer of 2024 to work/learn in a different way than we would do at home. We aim to work outdoors by doing gardening in general, little maintenance, feeding animals, ... however cleaning, cooking (occasional babysitting) are also possible. If there is an opportunity to learn about herbs, foraging, local cuisine, alternative forms of education, ... we would be very grateful.

We are interested in helping other families with young children in Europe, especially for our daughter to have children to play and connect with.

We put ourselves at your disposal.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Nathalie (34) has experience as a receptionist, public worker in international development and accountancy administration. She loves speaking different languages and cultural exchange.

Jeroen (34) is a handyman of all sorts. He works in a school as a handyman. Maintaining buildings, cutting trees, painting, repairing, etc: bring it on. He loves listening to music and thinking.

Merel (4) is a dreamer with great imagination. Always ready to help her folks with whatever they are doing or making. She loves being creative.

Was noch ...

We currently live in our local town (where we both grew up) in Flanders but we also lived in the Alps in France for 2 years working on a campsite.

Nathalie and Merel enjoy doing yoga and Jeroen enjoys watching the campfire.

We'll be traveling by car.
