Hi,
I'm Margarida,a mom full of big dreams to transform the education in my town. I have a project of nature activities for children, where a small family community meet together every month to play free in the woods.
Now i'm starting a journey to expand my project and start to work with schools and create a learning community based on nature learn and respecting the individuality of every child.
We are located near Nazaré and Alcobaça, in the center of Portugal.
our project needs help to build a platform for the shelter, to extend the covered area. So we need someone with ability to work with wood and experience in building. The new land needs general maintenance too, like cutting grass, create boxes for garden, and build little houses for the animals (chicken, ducks, rabbits and goat). We aim to have the new land ready for the summer camp time and to welcome the children for next school year.
I would love to host you, and to connect with your thoughts, ideas and culture because i believe that diversity is the key to success.

Sou a Margarida,uma mãe com sonhos muito grandes de transformar a educação na minha cidade. Tenho um projeto de atividades ao ar livre para crianças e gostava de começar a trabalhar com escolas e de criar uma pequena comunidade de aprendizagem alternativa, mais ligada à Natureza e mais respeitadora da individualidade de cada criança.
Estamos situados na zona centro do país a 20mts da praia da Nazaré, perto de Alcobaça. Caminho de passos firmes para a construção do meu sonho e para tal preciso de ajuda.
Queremos reconstruir um telheiro de madeira para acolher as crianças no terreno, limpar e organizar o espaço, construir as casas para os animais e preparar o terreno para uma futura horta. Assim sendo procuramos voluntários com agilidade em trabalhos com madeira e construção e criatividade para a realização deste novo espaço.
Adorava poder contar com a vossa ajuda, pois acredito que a diversidade é fundamental no processo de criação.

I'm starting a environmental and educational project in my town.
You will learn about education and all the process involved to create a projet.
You will work with children and learn more about positive learning, mindfulness and emotional education, because this are the fundamentals of our project.
We live at 20 mts distance from the beach where you can learn or practice surf.
We aim to learn more about education and permaculture and you'll be part of this growing process

Arbeit
Help to clean the land and organizing it;
Build a platform to extend the covered area around the shelter;
Build a compost toilet (already in progress);
Woodworking;
Help to build a small farm and garden, based on permaculture principles;
Build little houses for animals, we are starting a farm in the land.

Unterkunft
We have an independent part of the house with room and bathroom and possibility to adapt a small kitchen.
Breakfast and dinner are shared with the family in the main house. We have a gluten free diet, because of gluten intolerance. But you can have bread from the store 2 mts from our home. The other meals we can decide and adjust according to both necessities.

We live near Alcobaça a town full of Portuguese history.
We also have the coast just 20 to 30 mts away. As well as the mountains with natural caves and amazing trails to do.
