Hellohello dear readers, I am Milan, 28 years old (at the moment) and based in Amsterdam, but I have been away since early march 2025. I spend a couple months in Latin America and I am now visiting Africa with a lot of joy. So in my life in Amsterdam I used to work in a nightclub as service & safety and bar coordinator and later also as first aid, which was a lot a lot a lot of fun. But my main passion last years has been my other job working as a Social Worker in a homeless shelter (Amoc-West) in Amsterdam. That has been (and still is when not traveling) so special, fun, heavy, intense and rewarding and the visitors I got to know are so sweet, and misunderstood and sometimes a little fucked up but so so colourful. So that gave me happiness in recent time apart from ofcourse spending time with my friends, my hobbies (surfing, writing, dj’ing) and traveling around meeting great great people and doing random adventurous and fun stuff (like sailing to/on the Amazon and doing a bare survival after that). So getting to know a little about other peoples lives, that motivates me. And not neglecting the privileges I am born with.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I studied Human Geography in Amsterdam, which I loved & and I also did a minor in International Development Studies. Couple years later I did more Social Work courses, because that is my real interest. Also have a First Aid license and licenses in handling aggressive behaviour and non-violent communication. I speak fluent English and Dutch and can hold a conversation in Spanish. I also know my way around a computer.
As the coordinator in a nightclub (and a lot of service jobs before aswell) I am good with people. Seeing what people need, engaging in a non judgemental, open and non violent manner, overseeing hectic and unexpected situations and quickly understanding how to approach it. These skills also come forward as a social worker working with homeless people (and before that isolated adolescents) is a specific way of communicating and making a bond. I am also good at being in situation that are for most people out of their comfort zone or at the least very stressful, I feel calm and at ease in these situations. Furthermore I am a hard worker and easygoing.

Was noch ...

Pfoe felt like I put most stuff in my other descriptions hahahaha. Other hobbies are swimming, skating and I like movies, (board) games and most sports in general. Love Drum and Bass (melodic and rougher stuff) and a bit of jungle, 140 and deep stuff also. Like food but who doesnt, now I am just scraping the bottom of the barrel so time to stop
