Hello! My name is Maya and I am a traveler from Australia. My travels are motivated by my love for nature and my desire to experience the world through the activities that allow me to connect to the landscapes I visit such as hiking, surfing and camping. By volunteering through workaway this summer I hope to give back to the places I visit and learn about conservation and sustainability in different countries. Along with outdoor adventuring I love painting and drawing, playing music with my friends and spending time with animals. I am also learning Spanish so I would love to practice my language skills while volunteering!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I enjoy hands-on outdoor work, especially gardening and caring for nature. I am always excited to learn new skills in this area, and I am especially interested in learning about permaculture and sustainable living. I have experience working in hospitality, aged care, child care and as a paralegal, which have all helped me develop strong communication and people skills. I am an animal lover and have helped raise and care for rescue dogs throughout my childhood and adult life, so I am very comfortable around animals and passionate about their welfare. I love all things creative and try to incorporate creativity into my work where I can.
