¡Hola ! Soy Mathis, un Francés de 25 años. Actualmente estoy viajando después de haber trabajado tres años como arquitecto/ingeniero por la restauración de monumentos históricos en Paris.

Siempre quise descubrir nuevos lugares, pero mis estudios y mi trabajo me lo impedían, llevaban demasiado tiempo. Así, a finales de 2025 decidí dejar mi trabajo para pasar algunos años a trabajar y visitar el mundo.

Ha sido una multitud de trabajo en comunidad, y cada vez, es una experiencia genial. Me gusta la idea de ayudar a alguien en su proyecto, especialmente cuando puedo aprender de esta persona y con ella. Para mí, esas experiencias y trabajos son significativos, es mi motivación. Es por eso que me uní a la comunidad workaway.

Además, me gusta la naturaleza, la arquitectura y la historia, así, obviamente, en todas partes del mundo, tengo cosas que aprender. Y para mí, viajar es la mejor manera de aprender, porque puedes ver el país con sus propios ojos, sin filtro.

Actualmente, voy a viajar en Chile, Perú, y Bolivia, por un mínimo de un año, desde marzo 2025. ¡ hasta pronto! :)

Hi ! I'm Mathis, I'm French and 25 yo. I'm currently travelling after working several years as a building engineer/architect in the restoration of historical monuments en Paris.

I always wanted to discover new countries and people, but was seriously hampered my time-consuming studies and my work. So I finally decided to leave my job in late 2025 to spend a few years fully working and travelling.

I’ve done many projects in community, far from home, and each time it’s a wonderful experience. The idea to help people in their project, and especially to learn from and with them, is really what drives me, I find these experiences meaningful. That’s why I joined the Workaway community.

I’m also very interested in Nature, Architecture and History, so of course everywhere I go, there is something to learn. And for me travelling is the best way, because you can see everything for yourself, you can discover people, cultures and places with minimal bias.

I now plan to travel for at least a year in Chile, Perú, and Bolivia, from March 2025. See you soon :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Me gusta aprender en todas las áreas, pero, porque tengo una formación profesional en la construcción, soy más capaz de ayudar con proyectos de renovación. Además me gusta el trabajo manual y he hecho un multitud de proyectos de renovación, profesional y personal.

Tengo el hábito de vivir solo como en comunidad y de hacer las tareas domésticas. Ademas, tengo experiencia con el trabajo voluntario, hice un multitud en francia, especialmente mi participé en un proyecto que necesitaba ayudar y guiar a turistas, y de limpiar y cocinar para la comunidad de voluntarios.

Me gusta también vivir en grupo, especialmente porque puedo descubrir nuevas personas. Sin embargo, necesitará alguno de tiempo solo y espacio personal.

Aparte de eso, puedo cambiar sobre idiomas (francés, inglés), arquitectura, historia, cocina, matemáticas y física.

Me falta práctica con la jardinería y con el cuidado de los animales, especialmente en granja.

I like to learn about anything, but i'm more skilled in construction projects, since I studied in the building sector. I especially worked on historical buildings so I have knowledge about restorations. I've done many private and professional renovations and DIY projects.

During the past years I lived alone and with housemates as well, so i'm used to housework and living in community. I've also done many volonteer projects in France, I have especially helped with tourist guidance, and with the cooking and cleaning for the volunteer group.

I really like to spend time in group and especially to discover people, but i will occasionally need some personal space/time alone.

Otherwise I have some more knowledge to exchange/teach in French/English, architecture, history, cooking, mathematics and physics,

I may lack experience in gardening, and animal care/farm work.
