We are a couple with a young child (2 years old). We have just moved into an abandoned farmhouse in Périgord which we are beginning to restore. The place is beautiful, 3 km from the village (associative grocery store, restaurant bar) and 10 km from the Dordogne (beach, canoe, etc.), and 10 km from two SNCF train stations, in a charming and hilly region. we are protected from the hot weather by a multi-hundred-year-old oak tree which has welcomed and adopted us. we are looking for someone to help us, mainly to look after and take care of our daughter Clara (babysitting), but also possible some help with the renovation. for the moment, it is rather unskilled help (demolition, clearing). Help with non-systematic cooking would be welcome.
We are rather eco-friendly at heart, without extremism and with tolerance and flexitarians. We prefer to receive non-smokers. we have our vegetable garden. the rest of the shopping is done at the butcher, market gardener and baker in the village and at the associative grocery store.
For babysitting, we are looking for someone who speaks reasonable French. 5 hours a day would be fine for us, stress free and with flexibility in both directionswe are looking for someone for at least a week but with pleasure for a month. We'd be happy with 5 hours work per day. we will not look at contact us and let's talk!
Nous sommes un couple avec une jeune enfant (2 ans). Nous venons de nous installer dans une ferme abandonnée en Périgord que nous commençons à restaurer. Le lieu est magnifique, à 3 km du village (épicerie associative, bar restaurant) et 10 km de la Dordogne (plage, canôe,...), et 10 km de deux gares sncf, dans une région charmante et vallonnée. nous sommes protégés des grosses chaleurs par un chêne multicentenaire qui nous a accueillis et adoptés. les animaux sauvages (chevreuils, cerfs quelquefois sangliers, viennent souvent nous faire un petit coucou de loin au fond du pré que domine la maison.
Nous sommes plutôt écolos dans l'âme, sans jusqu'au boutisme et avec tolérance et flexitariens. Nous préférons recevoir des non fumeurs. nous avons notre potager. le reste des courses se fait chez le boucher, maraîcher et boulanger du village et à l'épicerie associative.

We traveled a lot in our respective previous lives, my partner and I, Europe, Americas, Asia, New Zealand. my companion speaks French, English and a little Spanish and German. I speak French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and a little Italian. We love conversations. We will be delighted to introduce you to the local culture, the vegetable garden, the basics of ecological renovation, and even to learn from you. Périgord is full of historical nuggets to visit (bastides, castles, etc.) and the Dordogne river is magnificent.
Nous avons beaucoup voyagé dans nos vies antérieures respectives ma compagne et moi, Europe, Amériques, Asie, Nouvelle Zélande. ma compagne parle français, anglais et un peu d'espagnol et d'allemand. je parle français, anglais, espagnol, portugais et un peu d'italien. Nous aimons les échanges. Nous serons ravis de vous initier à la culture locale, au potager, aux rudiments de la rénovation écologique, voire d'apprendre de vous. Le périgord regorge de pépites historiques à visiter (bastides, chateaux,...) et la rivière Dordogne est magnifique.

Nous cherchons quelqu'un pour nous aider, principalement pour s'occuper et prendre soin de notre fille Clara (baby-sitting), mais possible aussi comme main d'oeuvre pour la rénovation. pour l'instant, ce sont plutôt des travaux non qualifiés (démolition, déblayage). Une aide pour la cuisine non systématique serait la bienvenue.
Pour le baby-sitting, nous cherchons quelqu'un qui parle raisonnablement français. 5 heures par jour nous conviendraient, sans stress et avec flexibilité dans les deux sens. nous cherchons quelqu'un pour au moins une semaine mais avec plaisir pour un mois. ça peut etre une personne seule ou un couple (orientation sexuelle indifférente) ou deux ami(e)s.

Nous proposons un hébergement dans un mobil-home posé sur notre terrain. Chambre privative mais il est possible que l'autre chambre du mobil-home nous serve à recevoir des amis de temps en temps. La douche se prend sous un arbre avec douche de camping, à moins que nous ayons réparé le chauffe-eau du mobil-home d'ici votre arrivée. Repas partagés mais pas systématiquement. par exemple à déjeuner mais le petit déjeuner et le diner seront pris de votre côté (il y a un coin cuisine et un réfrigérateur dans le mobil home.

We live 10 km from a train station and can pick you up at the station. we can lend you a bike (be careful, it goes up and down) and from time to time our car when we are not using it.
Nous habitons à 10 km d'une gare et pouvons venir vous chercher à la gare. nous pouvons vous prêter un vélo (attention, ca monte et ca descend) et de temps en temps notre voiture quand nous ne l'utilisons pas.
