Hello there! My name is Marthe, I'm a Belgian woman who is planning to travel to Nepal this autumn. The country has always been at the top of my bucketlist, and since I graduated this year and I'm taking a gap year it's the perfect moment to go there. I would love to meet fellow travelers or inhabitants! My interests (or better passions) are art (visual arts mostly but also movies, books,..), helping people, learning from reading and talking to people, nature,..

I'm planning to go to Kathmandu and maybe take a tourist bus to Pokhara, but most of all I want to go to the countryside to do some outside work and nice hikes. I have no fixed plans yet so I'm open for all the possible paths that my journey can go to! It would be nice to meet other workawayers along the way: I love to travel alone but it's always nice to experience different stuff through different people.



I already did three successful and very fun workaways over the years, even though I don't have any feedback yet!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I like working outside. I spend my youth on a horse farm cleaning the stables, taking care of the horses/sheep/chickens/cats/dogs/.. I think I'm pretty good with animals :-)
I'm also quite good with cleaning and organizing things (I even like it!), I can cook a bit and like doing so (mostly just random food combinations or pasta, not really belgian things), I also enjoy working in the garden and have some experience from at my parents place. Here on my small balcony in the city I only have tomatoes and mint, but I have a loooot of indoor plants!
I am very willing to learn most of all. I try to make things and solve problems myself but I'm still learning. During a workaway in Italy for example I renovated a small garden shed (painting and stuff), what I never did before, and I had fun doing so. I don't mind working with my hands.
I have my master degree in fine arts so I have some skills in that area (painting, drawing, video editing, blender and other computer programs,..). I make films so I have some experience with editing and other digital programs in general. I have some basic graphic design skills (currently learning for an internship I have to do in january) so I could help with that too.
