We are now in Bolivia for 3 or 4 weeks.

Beschreibung

We are on a four months journey through part of South America with our son Loek (4). Starting in El Calafate in the south of Argentina we traveled through Patagonia, the Austral and the Atacama, where we crossed the border to Chile and back a couple of times. Our plan is to visit Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay before we leave for home again in May.

Marlies has traveled to South America and Asia before and we wanted to create these amazing memories as a family. Loek does not yet have mandatory school so this was the exact and perfect time for the journey! We want to visit awe inspiring places, but also enrich it with social and cultural experiences. We are new to Workaway, but it feels like the perfect way to meet interesting people and learn new insights as well as crafts.

A little about Mark:
I'm a handy and analytical person, who always enjoys learning new ideas, knowledge, crafts or ways of life. I'm compassionate and open-minded and try to see the positive aspects of life's teachings.

I work as a advisor to a regional government in watermanagement with specialty ecological water quality. Earlier in life I was a Lean specialist (improvement of work processes) at an energy network provider and I have an education in forest and nature management.
I enjoy fixing electrical appliances, motorcycles and cars and we completely rebuild our currents home before we started to live there in 2021 four weeks before Loek was born.

When I was 20 I had severe back problems, which resulted in the doctors fixating my lower back. This hasn't stopped me riding motorcycles and fixing things, but heavy labor is something I have to avoid.

A little about Marlies
I'm 44 years old and in Holland I work as a reflexologist, healer and pedicure.
I love to play tennis, walking in nature and develope myself in professional, personal and spiritual ways.
I also love to travel and I feel so grateful to share this travelexperience with Mark and Loek!

I like to help people, take care of children and animals and enjoy gardening. I can also paint, clean and do odd jobs.

We're looking forward to meet and help you!
