Beschreibung

Hi there👋

My name is Marlene, I’m 19 and I’ve just finished school as well as my vocational training as a childcare assistant. Right now, I’m really looking forward to starting my work and travel year in Australia and beginning this new chapter of my life.

I’d describe myself as a sociable, warm-hearted and open-minded person. In my free time, I enjoy painting, dancing, talking, playing games, watching movies, cooking, having a good cup of coffee, going thrifting and doing yoga. I also love going for walks and hikes and spending time outdoors. I used to play tennis and go horse riding, so I’d love to get back into those hobbies if there is an opportunity as well.

What I particularly enjoy about travelling is meeting different people, making new friends and learning new things along the way. During my time in Australia, I really want to make the most of every opportunity and try things I haven’t done before. Right now, I have things like learning how to Surf and going diving on my mind.

That’s also why I’m really excited about the opportunities Workaway offers, from gardening to babysitting to helping look after animals. I’d be happy to use my skills and experience, but also learn new ones along the way. I’m always happy to get involved, help wherever I can and try something new.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, sharing experiences and making the most of this year. I’m honestly up for pretty much anything! :)

- I worked with children from the age of 3-8yeaes.
- I speak German, English and Spanish (not so good)
- I like animals and had riding lessons as a kid/teenager and would love to work with them again!
- I‘ve done several sport hobbies such as tennis, riding, dancing, soccer and many other stuff.
- I like cooking
- I like to hear and make music
- I love coffee (learning LatteArt)
- I am working in a restaurant/bistro singe I am 16 now where I learned a lot about service and also cleaning

I want to study after my work&travel year and want to find out in which direction I want to go. Maybe there are opportunities to learn a little bit about: ocean&wildlife conservation (marine biology); interior design, architecture; teaching.
