Hey there!
this is Maria and Francesca 🌸
We are two good friends from Munich and traveled together to Portugal.
For 2026, we will be traveling separately due to work and study schedules.

We are looking forward to new experiences, meeting wonderful people, and supporting different projects. 🌞


About us:
Marie is a trained kindergarten teacher - warm, caring and great with kids.
Francesca studies journalism.
- curious, creative and always ready to dive into new topics and perspectives.

We’re both vegan 🌱, passionate about animals 🐕🐈 and nature 🌼, and we care deeply about sustainability and social justice. We’d love to support projects that involve animals, eco-living, creative or social work, or help out in a hostel or guesthouse whatever’s needed 🧹🌿🎨

We’re easy-going, motivated, respectful and ready to work hard. For us, Workaway is more than just travelling it’s about sharing, growing, and building meaningful connections 🌍✨

We are creative, warm-hearted, and always with a positive attitude and openness to new experiences.

Creativity
We are also very creative people who enjoy crafting, painting, storytelling, and developing fun, engaging activities, especially for children. Of course we love using our imagination to make everyday life more meaningful and joyful.

Childcare & Education
Marie is a trained kindergarten teacher. She has a solid understanding of child development and daily routines with children of different ages. She knows how to create a safe, playful, and supportive environment, and I build strong, trusting connections quickly.

Gardening & Outdoor Work
We both enjoy spending time in nature and working with my hands. We have experience in watering, weeding, planting, and helping in gardens on small farms. Both of us find it fulfilling to contribute to something that grows and thrives.

Animal Care
Francesca and I have a big heart for animals and love to be around them. We are responsible and gentle, and enjoy helping with feeding, cleaning, and caring for pets or farm animals.

Household Support
We are reliable and organized, and enjoy helping with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, and keeping shared spaces nice and tidy. Also we can work independently or as part of a team.

Languages
Our native language is German, and we speak English at an intermediate to fluent level. I enjoy communicating with people from different backgrounds and love learning new languages and perspectives.
Francesca can speak Spanish and Italien at a beginner level
