Beschreibung

Hi, I'm Magda, 26 years old and I'm from Berlin, but I take every chance to get out of the city and into nature. My favourite activities are hiking, climbing, inline skating and exploring ruins. In summer 2022 I graduated with a Master's degree in Urban Planning. My interest in old buildings, construction, urban structures and landscaping is therefore particularly high. After my studies I worked for the University's International Relations Office on a European university project and on the side for a rock-climbing construction company. Here, in addition to my theoretical work, I was able to try out alpine techniques, participate in the work on the property and, above all, grow in experiential education by working with children. I have found that I am most productive and motivated when working outdoors, in an old building or with children, and that there is still so much to learn. I don´t have that much experiences yet, but I like to try out new things, prefer to work with a smile on my face and it's hard for me to get rattled. After an incredible first Workaway experience in Ireland last year, where we renovated an old 18th century manor house, I started travelling with Caro, one of my closest university friends, to gain more building experience and get to know different facets of life. After almost three months in Denmark, we are ready to head south and explore new regions while warming up a bit ;)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Working with children: I was able to develop this skill particularly during my time as an au pair in San Francisco with a family of four children and as a youth leader in my Catholic parish. Working in outdoor education and at sports camps made me realise how much I value the sports aspect of working with children.

Intercultural competence through workshops with foreign students and an European University Project for international relations in education.

Service through regular holiday work in the kitchen and at events.

Through my Urban Planning studies I was able to improve my skills, especially in the areas of teamwork, time and stress management, as well as concept and design development. I have also been able to increase my craft and creative skills, for example in model making.

Music: I have been playing the violin since 2nd grade.

Being close to nature through outdoor activities and working in the garden and on the construction company's property.

Was noch ...

I really enjoy socialising in the evenings, chatting, cooking, baking and especially playing a fun card or board game. I am also always up for a short walk... at least 10 km of course ;) or any other outdoor activity.
