Beschreibung

Hi, I'm Luisa — a 22-year-old student from Germany, currently studying Media Studies and History at the University of Bonn. This time I'm heading to South Korea, and I'm really looking forward to combining travel with hands-on projects, real conversations, and getting to know local life from the inside rather than just passing through as a tourist.

I'm an open-minded, curious, and communicative person. As the eldest of four siblings with working parents, I learned early on to take responsibility, stay organized, and just get things done. That mindset has stuck with me ever since, whether I was figuring out my travel plans to many countries the past years, working front-of-house in hospitality, or supporting social media and marketing projects for small companies back home.

I already know what it's like to build a life abroad: during my Work & Travel year in Australia and Southeast Asia, I took on all kinds of jobs in hospitality and housekeeping, picked up fluent English along the way and learned to adapt quickly. I solved problems on my own, and connect with people from completely different backgrounds. That year changed how I see the world, and I'm always looking for those experiences ever since.

Whether working with a group of people I've just met or just by myself — I'm reliable, hands-on, and genuinely enjoy being useful, whatever the task looks like.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

-Hospitality & service: 6 years of experience working front-of-house in a restaurant and behind the bar, including regular full waitressing shifts (~9 hours) — comfortable under pressure, good with guests, quick to learn how a new place runs

-Housekeeping & cleaning: hands-on experience from my Work & Travel year in Australia and Southeast Asia, plus about a year and a half of regularly cleaning private households

-Social media & marketing: practical experience managing and supporting social media accounts and a marketing internship — content ideas, community management, keeping accounts up to date

-Childcare: as the oldest of four siblings (three girls and one boy) I have a lot of experience with babysitting and childcare, on top of several years volunteering with children and teenagers in a church program — patient, responsible, and used to have people around me

-Animals: I grew up constantly surrounded by animals. My family has kept chickens, mice, stick insects, rabbits, a turtle, and a dog, and we spent a lot of holidays on farms. I rode horses for several years as a kid. If a project involves animals, that's exactly where you'll find me :)

-Driving: car and motorcycle license (motorcycle since age 16), plus practical experience — I drove a campervan across Australia and quickly got used to driving on the other side of the road, and I'm experienced with driving a forklift from working on my grandfather's farm

-Languages: German (native), English (fluent), French (intermediate)

-Active & sporty: football, hip hop, jamaican dance hall, pole dance — happy to help with anything physical or high-energy

-Adaptability: used to jump into unfamiliar environments, picking things up fast, and solving problems independently

I'm genuinely curious about other cultures and always up for meeting new people — I'm a big fan of documentaries, especially history and true crime. I love being sporty in general: besides my passion for dancing, I enjoy long walks with my dog and feel most at home when I can swim in a lake, sea, or the ocean. I've also done several sailing trips along the Italian and French coast, so I'm completely comfortable around water.

I live in a medium-sized town called Bonn, close to the international city of Cologne. But I grew up in a little town in rural area, surrounded by lots of tiny villages, so I'm equally at home in both types of lifestyles. Among my friends, I'm usually the one who ends up organizing things whenever we make plans — a trait that's given me a lot of practical experience with getting people and logistics together.
