March 2024 UPDATE: Hi everyone! We are looking to travel once again and predominantly interested in home-stays and house-sitting. We both work remotely and would like to care for your place of residence while working from afar. We are more than willing to carry out light duties but would prefer nothing too arduous as we will need to continue our own employment while traveling.

We are a married couple from Eugene, Oregon, USA traveling the world to learn from people who are masters in their craft and to be a helping hand along the way.

Our main interests are in the areas of organic gardening/farming and self-sufficiency. We both love preparing food and spend most of our free time learning new techniques to prepare and preserve the harvest. We have maintained a large garden over the past several seasons, and raised chickens for three years. Aaron has finished two full seasons working on a 5+ acre organic production farm.

We would love to gain more skills building structures. Our long term goal is to someday build our own home using the techniques that we've learned throughout the world.

To put it short: At times we felt as if we were the ones helping Aaron and Liz run their vegetable farm and prepare their market stand. It's hard to find anyone more enthusiastic about and devoted to farming than them. They are so great that two TV crews came to shoot at our farm during their stay.

We spent twelve wonderful days with Eva, Jobe and family helping prep a barn for painting, thinning Birch from a pine forest, and cultivating soil for planting, among other tasks. Other arduous chores included eating delicious bread and playing board games. We highly recommend spending time on their farm and hope to return in the future.
