Beschreibung

I am driven by the desire to grasp reality as fully as humanly possible, including through the creative work I do—literature—because art is, in essence, the preservation of reality. And reality is sensory experience. That is, there is no such thing as good or bad experience; there is pure experience and mediocre, average experience. It’s like a rainbow: it’s beautiful not only because of the multitude of colors, but also because they are uncompromising in their own right—we don’t try to blend them into a single mush. So why should the life of an individual be any different? Why do we compromise with ourselves throughout our entire lives?

In short, I am a person seeking adventure, and I am happy to face all the challenges on my path.

This is my first time on Workaway, but I do have some volunteer experience. Two years ago, I spent two months at the Taizé community in Burgundy, which gave me a great push to move forward even further.

I have a wide variety of hobbies: cooking, academic writing, reading fiction, writing fiction, politics and economics—including finance—are also my passions, cinema, video games, Japanese pop culture, I’m interested in art and architecture as well as history, language learning (currently German), a member of the Polish Youth Parliament and Secretary of International Relations at the Belarusian Students' Association (currently in exile), and I regularly go to the gym.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As an international relations secretary, I have a strong command of English and am comfortable meeting and working with people I don’t know. I am also highly self-disciplined; whenever I have a clearly defined goal, I give it my all to achieve it. I am physically fit, so heavy lifting is also right up my alley. I am also a good cook; I’ve been doing this at home since childhood and have become quite skilled at it. I hardly ever get tired; I have a huge reserve of energy, so I don’t need more than the bare minimum of rest.

I am a native speaker of Russian and Belarusian; in addition, I have C2-level proficiency in Polish, C1-level proficiency in English, and this year I completed a B2-level German course.

As for the rest, it concerns my education, my grasp of the fundamentals of philosophy, a deep understanding of historical and cultural processes in Europe and around the world, as well as management and economics. This, however, may not be particularly relevant to you, which I certainly understand.

The last thing I’d like to emphasize is that there’s nothing I’m not capable of handling. I’m not great at every task, but I won’t turn down any job and will make an effort to learn.
