We're Nicole and Lindsey! two friends who have worked in the outdoors backpacking! Nicole is currently in North Carolina and Lindsey is in California. We used to live near each other and have since kept up our friendship throughout our travels and moves. We are both facing a switch in jobs (or search of it haha) and decided to seize the opportunity to travel together again before we settle back down into the business of life. We're looking to slow down, learn Spanish, and embrace another culture.

Born in Sweden, raised in Spain till 9 and grew up in the US. Travel has always been a part of my life. I love diving into new places, learning new cultures and languages, and gaining new skills.
Over the past few years I've worked and volunteered in a wide mix of roles including nannying, outdoor adventure guiding, high-ropes and team-building facilitation, farming, hospitality, baking, yard maintenance, and house renovation. I spent 9 months in New Zealand working as a teacher’s aide, vineyard worker, assistant cook, and more — and also lived and worked on islands in Hawaii in farming and home-building roles.
Currently I’m back in North Carolina learning house-flipping and renovation alongside my dad while nannying.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have grown up with a dad who always has some renovation on a house happening. I would help with floor installations, insulation of walls, painting, etc. I used refurbish furniture to resell in high school as a hobby. I grew a new love for farming during my Workaway stay in Hawaii as well, where I grew new skills in identifying native plants to the island, care routine for the garden, baking with what we harvested, while keeping everything as self-sustainable as the family could. I continue to develop skills in activities that allow me to be outside like mountain biking, paddle boarding, hiking, etc. I was backpacking guide that entailed mountain biking, outdoor climbing, kayaking and more for high schoolers two summer seasons.
