Animal welfare

Beschreibung

Hello,I am an animal welfare advocate and carer from New Zealand. I also hold European citizenship.
I enjoy meeting new people and supporting those particularly caring for rescued animals. My experience is mainly working with street dogs, in rescues and in shelters. I have worked for the SPCA, the Humane Society and volunteered in programs and shelters in India, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, and Pacific Islands over the last 13 years. I am fit and capable, have a ‘can do’ attitude with range of experience in many areas. I am easy going, a good communicator, a morning person yet flexible and adaptable. I am also happy to work in gardens and support people in their daily life. I live a simple life in a small basic home in a relatively remote part of rural New Zealand. I love nature, particularly the sea. I do not need entertaining, yet enjoy some shared time and conversation. I prefer to be accommodated in a private, self contained space where I am happy for the most part to make my own meals.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a range skills from practical hands on animal care skills, gardening, packing or cleaning through to managing the daily work flow, logistics and supervising others. I've worked in the responsible roles - Quality control in a Dog management program in India and as the primary point of contact in helping resolve animal welfare issues in rural small town New Zealand. I enjoy researching and writing particularly about animal welfare and social justice issues. I have the communication, people and computer skills required to work with others but I'm just as happy mucking out and getting on with things unsupervised.
