Beschreibung

Creative, cheerful and emphatic - these are the three words that best describe me.
My name is Lily and I’m 21 years old. I received my high school diploma (Swiss Matura) last summer. Now I'm taking a gap year to work, travel and improve my English skills. That's one reason why I would really like to travel to Ireland. Apart from that, I've always wanted to visit Ireland because of the culture, the music, the landscape and also because of the beautiful cities. Next autumn, I will start studying geography at the university of Zurich.

Currently I’m working as a tutor for children of all ages. I really enjoy working with children and people in general. In my free time I like to go riding with my foster horse twice a week. I love all kind of animals. That’s the reason why I’m a vegetarian. Furthermore, I love painting, cooking, baking and reading. My friends and my family describe me as a very open, helpful and cheerful person.

One of the main reasons I want to go to Ireland is to improve my English skills. On the one hand, I want to improve my pronunciation, but I am also motivated to improve my grammar. German is my mother tongue and it was also one of my favourite subjects at school. That's why I would also be open to teaching German to others. In the German-speaking part of Switzerland, French is taught from the 5th grade onwards (i.e. from around the age of 11). So I only have the knowledge I gained at school, but I would of course be willing to pass on this knowledge.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As already mentioned, I finished school last summer. School has always come easily to me, which is why I now give private lessons. I am therefore delighted to be able to help children with my native language (German) or with subjects such as maths. I also attended a school that focused on art and music. I am therefore skilled at painting and enjoy playing the piano and flute.

Outside of school, I have always helped out a lot around the house, so cooking, doing laundry or cleaning are no problem for me.

Having ridden horses for 8 years, I also have experience with horses and am motivated to learn new things in this area. We also have a cat at home, so I am familiar with caring for and feeding cats.

Otherwise, I am always motivated to learn new things and give my best.

Was noch ...

In addition to my other hobbies, I am also a bit of a film geek. I am always open to furthering my cultural education, whether it be a visit to a museum, a city tour or a theatre performance. I also enjoy playing board games, especially Settlers of Catan.
