Liam et Rachel ont passé un peu plus de deux semaines chez moi. Liam et Rachel ont été d’une aide plus que précieuse pour peindre et poser les gouttières, faire la finition des fenêtres du cabanon et organiser le rangement intérieur. Ils ont aussi travaillé à l’entretien du jardin. Liam, toujours présent, pince sans rire, ponctuel et prêt à … read more apprendre (ce que nous avons fait ensemble pour la pose des gouttières) a été un très bon et agréable collaborateur. Rachel, de son côté, en plus d’avoir consciencieusement fait la peinture, aidé dans le travail en hauteur et fait du classement dans la maison, a préparé un document détaillé offrant différentes options de rangement à partir d’un plan à l’échelle de l’intérieur du cabanon. Un document de réflexion et de conceptualisation dont elle a pris l’initiative et que j’ai vraiment beaucoup apprécié.
Nous avons fait deux belles et agréables sorties culturelles avec Liam et Rachel (un concert de musique classique et une visite d’ateliers d’artistes locaux) dans le cadre de festivals organisés durant l’été dans la région de Sherbrooke. Nos échanges autour des repas ou activités partagés ont été des occasions de pratiquer l’interculturalité, le plurilinguisme (et de rire!) pour le meilleur de chacun.e. Je vous souhaite de rencontrer ce jeune couple intéressant en route vers leur avenir commun.

Liam and Rachel spent a little over two weeks at my place. Liam and Rachel were a huge help with painting and installing gutters, finishing the windows on the shed, and organizing the interior storage. They also worked on maintaining the garden. Liam, always present, punctual, and eager to learn (which we did together when installing the gutters), was a good and pleasant colleague ( with his english humor style). Rachel, for her part, in addition to conscientiously painting, helping with the work at height, and in the house, prepared a detailed document offering different storage options based on a scale plan of the interior of the shed. It was a thoughtful and conceptual document that she took the initiative to create, and I really appreciated it.
We went on two wonderful and enjoyable cultural outings with Liam and Rachel (a classical music concert and a visit to local artists' studios) as part of festivals organized during the summer in the Sherbrooke region. Our conversations over shared meals and activities were opportunities to practice interculturality, multilingualism (and laughter!) for the benefit of everyone. I hope you get to meet this interesting young couple as they embark on their future together.

We had an incredible time at Patrick’s farm these last 3 weeks, we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the city and learn about true farm life.
