Hello people of the world!
What can I tell you about myself? My name is Laura, but you can call me Lau :)
I'm from a small village in Galicia, Spain. I grew up surrounded by nature every single day, breathing fresh air and listening to the beautiful sounds of birds, chickens, ducks, and the dogs who shared the early years of my life. I feel a very special connection with animals ;to me, they’re part of the family. Being in a natural environment means appreciating every moment and every little gift the earth offers us. For me, it’s a lifestyle.
Thanks to growing up in this atmosphere, I learned a lot about gardening (like making and applying compost, planting, mowing, removing bad roots, etc.). I’m still practicing these skills today, as I currently live in a community called Ängsbacka, where I work in the garden. I also work in site & safety, which has given me experience in setting things up ;building wooden platforms and floors, using power tools, building festival tents, assembling and disassembling metal structures, and more.
I’m also a trained social worker and nurse, so I have lots of experience working with all kinds of people. I have a driver’s license and several years of driving experience.
So, what am I passionate about?
Art.
A three letter word that, for me, expresses more than the entire alphabet. My life, life itself ,living, is art. I love expressing myself through art in many different forms: creating, painting murals, customizing clothes, painting canvases, drawing. I’m also a photography and videography enthusiast; I’ve been learning on my own, and every day I try to improve, capturing unique moments and creating & editing videos in different styles.
Another form of art for me is music. I love dancing, singing, and I’m currently learning to play the piano.
Along with all of this is my deep curiosity for discovering new things. I love exploring, learning, exchanging knowledge, and the feedback between people, animals, nature, and all the elements that make us who we are.
Giving and receiving, receiving and giving ;that’s my way of life, always rooted in respect. For me, values like respect, empathy, communication, assertiveness, and tolerance are essential; they’re key to creating and living in good vibes :)
I’m a social person, I love meeting new people, and I adapt easily to different environments. I’m also very adventurous and active; I like to stay moving, bring in new ideas, learn new skills, and be productive. Energy moves everything!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm a nurse and social integrator, with extensive experience working closely with people. I have a driver's license and several years of driving experience. I'm also passionate about photography and video editing; skills I've developed through self ,teaching. I’m very comfortable working in this creative field. As an art lover, I also enjoy drawing, customizing clothes, painting murals, and creating artworks. One of my standout qualities is my creativity, which I bring into everything I do, no matter the area.
Currently, I’m living in a community called Ängsbacka in southern Sweden, where I work in on site operations and security. Through this, I’ve gained hands and knowledge in setting up tents, structures, and various installations. I also help in the garden, so I’ve picked up some basic gardening skills. On top of all that, I have a special connection with animals, and I’m always eager to grow, improve my abilities, and learn new things.

Was noch ...

I have been living for 2 months in a community called Angsbäcka, located in the south of Sweden, doing European volunteering. I also lived for 3 months in the Azores Islands through Erasmus+.
