Meaningful human connection is everything to me. I'm outdoorsy and a big foodie. Some simple pleasures include writing, meditation, music and being in nature. I enjoy yoga, running and various sports.

Beschreibung

I’m a 31 year old woman strolling down this never ending path of self discovery, upon which I've adopted a justified passion for life. I’d love to somehow tell 21 year old me - an atheist with an attitude problem, who thought the idea of anything greater than herself was completely insane - that in 10 years time she’d be a self confessed tree hugger who wears harem yoga pants and... prays. She would be perplexed.

Over the years, I've had an array of jobs from aircraft controller on board ships to telecoms engineer. Waitress, factory line worker, receptionist, cleaner, supermarket cashier, superyacht stewardess to name a few more. The phrase “Jill of all trades, master of none” comes to mind.

Earlier this year I became a certified hatha yoga teacher and more recently I'm an aspiring masseuse. In May I completed a 50 hour massage and bodywork course. The human body amazes me, I'm very keen to keep on practicing massage on anyone who will let me.

My CV is very random but I hope this shows I'm super adaptable and love to learn new skills. I spent 8 years working on the sea, on various huge vessels and one small stint on a yacht. I've held several volunteer positions including one previous workaway in Portugal, where I helped construct a vegetable house. Cement mixing, brick laying and forging pathways were my main duties. I enjoyed this work although it was hard graft, yikes, I could handle it! The communal living was a highlight, I dream of one day living in a self sustained community of like minded people.

I'm up for any tasks, I enjoy cooking and I'm a great housekeeper (one of those who finds cleaning satisfying). Ideally I'd love to learn new skills. Particularly curious to explore gardening/farming/permaculture/off-grid living. I also love kids and would be more than happy helping out with childcare.

I’m friendly, chilled out and very curious. I’m hungry for knowledge and growth! I'm currently travelling and spent the first six months of the year in India, the most fascinating place I've ever been. From September I'm walking the Camino Santiago, that takes me to October, then I'm off to Australia where I will hopefully land a workaway position to kick off my next chapter, down under.

I look forward to keep learning, contributing, and connecting with people who chose to live an alternative lifestyle. I'm grateful every single day that I'm able to perceive life as the gift that it is :)

I’m adaptable and seem to pick things up fairly quickly. As mentioned my CV is random. My last job role was aircraft controller (helicopters) on board a ship, where I would monitor the radar and communicate with the pilot via radio headset.
