Beschreibung

I want to experience first-hand farm work to get in touch with the animals, people and culture of Tasmania. I am fascinated by the unique Fauna and Flora of the island, and farm work offers the opportunity to get to know both. Besides, the concept of workaway to work for your roof over the head and food on the table will be a good experience for an independant life when I return back home.
I like being out in nature as I have been a boyscout for 12 years, and the climate of Tasmania just hits the spot for me.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My main asset would be my 12 years spent at the boyscouts at Stamm Linn in the DPSG. I have learned responsiblity, self-sufficiency, sustainability, teamwork, leadership and a variety of tool skills. Scouting has also taught me honesty, thoroughness and helpfulness. It is the place where I have met many of my friends and spent most of my time.
Besides scouting, I also spent 2+ years working as a homework supervisor at a primary school, where after classes I supervised and helped 10-20 children for and with their homework and entertained them afterwards. I also entered their attendance into a register and signed their notebooks to show their parents that they finished homework. This work taught me how to deal with children and how to guide a group.

Most recently I worked as a medication delivery boy on bicycle for a pharmacy and delivered medication to mostly elderly people who cannot regularly make the trip down their stairs and to the pharmacy. In this job, I also collected delivery fees and medication bills from the customers and helped them fill out delivery and prescription forms. Before delivering the medication, I also helped organize them into the system and package them.

All in all I'd say that my most important skills are quick learning, teamwork and attention to detail.
I also am physically fit and not shy of getting my hands dirty.
