Hi Hosts,

We are Tim and Kim, both 23 years old. We are currently travelling in Bali and will return to Australia in September. Before we had a wonderful experience living in Sydney for our exchange semester and exploring Fiji and Japan. Tim is currently studying electrical engineering with a growing interest in data science, while I (Kim) am focused on my studies in industrial engineering, specializing in energy engineering.

Now that we're back, we're excited to start our workaway journey. In September, I (Kim) am looking for my own workaway opportunity, and in December, both of us would love to find a shared workaway experience.

Australia has left a lasting impression on us, and we'd love to delve deeper into the real Aussie lifestyle by immersing ourselves in a more remote or rural setting. Living with a local family is something we are looking forward to, as it will provide us with a unique opportunity to learn and grow. We both love the idea of doing something practical and hands-on, where we can see the results of our efforts. Living in close proximity to Australian wildlife is also an exciting aspect of this journey. We can't wait to experience nature up close and appreciate the beauty of the land.

Hey everyone! I'm Kim, and those who know me would probably describe me as a cheerful and energetic person. I love to laugh and enjoy spreading positivity wherever I go. Building meaningful connections with people is something I value, and I'm always up for new adventures.
During my time at HTWK in Leipzig, I completed my Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering - Energy Technology. Alongside my studies, I worked as a part-time student in both event management for the university and the sales department of a municipal energy provider. The experience was a great blend of academics and practical work.
An exchange semester abroad was always on my wishlist, and I finally got the chance to make it happen. I pursued my second Master's semester in Industrial Engineering - Energy Technology at UTS in Sydney. My boyfriend, Tim, joined me in this exciting journey, and together, we lived in a shared flat with 8 other people. It was an eventful and memorable experience.
Originally, I come from Dessau, where I grew up in a multi-generational house with my brother, parents, grandparents, dog, and two rabbits. Gardening and household chores are familiar to me. Moreover, I believe I am quite experienced with kids, as my brother has three of them, and my boyfriend and I have often taken care of them.
Even though I'm not exactly tall at 160 cm, I enjoy getting involved and helping out when it comes to getting things done.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, and back in the day, I used to play tennis and the piano. Being close to nature is something I cherish, so I love spending time outdoors whenever I can.
Now, about the spiders in Australia - I won't lie, they did give me a bit of a scare at first. But eventually, I got used to them and learned how to deal with it 
So, that's a little glimpse of me - Kim, the optimistic explorer who loves connecting with people and making the most out of life.

Was noch ...

I'm currently practicing my ukulele skills and really enjoy singing along. Actually, I'm a better singer than a pianist. Also, I have a strong interest in learning Spanish and hope to start soon.
