Beschreibung

I'm Katharina from the beautiful Heidelberg, Germany. I was born and grew up here and love the mix of the old town, nature, city life and village feeling in my small district.
I graduated last year in 2025 and am doing a gap year for myself now. The past six months have really helped me grow as a person. Now I want use my spare time to experience living abroad, meet people, get out into the world and help wherever I can. In autumn, I‘ll start my studies in architecture at a German University.
I am open to working with various tasks and settings; farm, animals and nature, hands-on renovating and constructing, general maintenance, cultural exchange and teaching, creative projects,…
I am a happy and open person! I‘m into creativity (photography, art, handcrafting, architecture, literature,…) and music. Furthermore, I am always interested in learning new things. I also speak several languages ​​(German, English, Spanish and French) and like to get to know about other cultures. I play some instruments (violin, piano, ukulele and a tiny bit of guitar) and especially enjoy singing! I like dancing different styles from jazz to hip hop, latin and ballroom dance. I‘ve also been really passionate about the theater club at school. I like cooking and baking and I like picking out cool outfits.
I really enjoy group activities, but I also need some quiet time for myself. With me you can go party but also dream in nature, go to small cafés, enjoy the little things, discuss exciting topics or explore the surroundings on a hike.

My mother tongue is German. I've always been precise about my wording and passionate about languages and literature. I got in touch with foreign languages early on, learning English first, then French and Spanish. I have already attended exchanges with girls from Montpellier, Cambridge, California and Helsinki. A few years ago, l even taught English and French to children in a language camp in Berlin with international advisers only. Moreover, I love listening to Spanish music and dancing Latin styles with some Spanish-speaking people. And I watch a lot of shows or movies in English. I enjoy improving my languages through singing songs in them, speaking them on vacation or, when in Germany, with with Duolingo. I am always open to leaning new languages and about their cultures or teaching others about what I know.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am really creative and have a lot of experience with different art styles and materials from painting and design to photography or building architectural models. I also enjoy writing and acting and any new cool creative or crafty project. On top of that, I like to make or listen to music, I especially love singing. But I can think analytically and solution-oriented as well. I am a really fast learner and can implement feedback quickly - intellectually and concerning hand crafts as well. I can work efficiently and solve problems either independently or together in a group. Communication and respect are the key here! I also like getting a deep understanding and different perspectives about new things and from other people. That’s one reason why I‘d like to learn about different cultures. The languages I speak can really help with that (German, English, Spanish, French). I enjoy sports like dancing or acrobatics for example. I really appreciate calm nature and animals and like taking good care of it. I enjoy cooking and baking and am always open for new experiences. I‘ve already worked with children in creative workshops and at a language learning holiday camp, as well.
