Hello, I’m Julia and I want to discover the world :)
I would say about myself that I am a very communicative, optimistic and open minded person. I always go through life confidently and have a lot of motivation to make my dreams come true. My friends have told me that they consider me to be a very emphatic person who can empathize well with others. Due to the fact that my family is very important to me and we always stick together, I would also describe myself as helpful and reliable.
I am incredibly inspired by getting to know new people and cultures. For years it has been my dream to spend most time possible abroad. I already did around 10 volunteerings around the globe and I hope to gain even more experiences through work exchanges!
I want to grow beyond myself while meeting other inspiring, lovely people🤍

SERVICE AND KITCHEN
I started working in a café at 16 years old in my hometown in Germany (Waiting tables, preparing and serving food, making ice cream sundaes, serving drinks, collecting money, clearing tables and washing up).
After graduating I spent 10 months all over Latin America and Spain, where I did Volunteerings in 7 countries. I worked in a pizza restaurant in Guatemala, served breakfast in a hostel in Colombia, prepared a professional hotel breakfast in Panama and created cocktails in a beach club in Mexico.
Since studying in Germany I worked at several events in the areas of catering, kitchen hand and bar service. Some examples are working in a billard bar, serving food in a big stadium or making cocktails at a surfing event on an Island (Sylt).
HOSTESS AND PROMOTION
My first promotion jobs took place in Latin America as well. I worked as a party promoter in Cartagena, Colombia and promoted the opening of said pizza restaurant in Guatemala.
In Germany I worked as a hostess for huge fairs, one known for example is the OMR taking place in Hamburg. For several other smaller fairs I did tasks like greeting guest, wardrobe services, presenting products and selling items.
SPORTS AND TEACHING
In 2026 I started sailing and getting to know the sport trough professional student classes. My main goal for this year is to develop my skills in especially this area! Hopefully I will receive my license in July/august 2026 :)
Since being younger I’m participating in a lot of sports. In high school I also used to teach sports to little children and eventually getting my trainers license in this field!
EDUCATION
I graduated High School in 2023. Since 2024 I’m studying Engineering in Hamburg, Germany. My studies are completely flexible though to the majority of courses isn’t mandatory and as well taking place online.
PROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
Since studying in Germany I already worked jobs which are LinkedIn presentable ;) Although I think those aren’t skills which are beneficial for the workaway community. I used to work in the headquarter of a leading german food company. Currently I am working for a french company which is processing environmental optimisation for cruise ships. My work area is also completely remote possible.
