Beschreibung

Hi! I’m 19 years old and just finished school. After graduating I really felt the need to get out of my comfort zone, leave home for a while and experience something new.

I would describe myself as an open-minded, creative and adventurous person. I have a lot of energy, enjoy meeting new people and I’m always curious about different ways of living. I like being part of a community but I also enjoy learning things on my own.

My main motivation for traveling is that I haven’t seen much of the world yet and I want to change that. I’m interested in different cultures, environments and everyday life in other countries. I’d love to travel while also working a bit, both to learn practical skills and to help finance the journey myself.

Topics like sustainability, animals, culture and living together respectfully are important to me. I haven’t done Workaway before, but I currently work in a café and already have some work experience with people and responsibility. I’ve travelled before as well, just not alone yet — so this feels like the perfect next step.

I’m motivated, willing to learn and happy to help wherever I’m needed!

I recently finished my A-levels with a focus on health and social studies, where I had classes like health care, pedagogy and psychology. I plan to study in the future, but first I want to gain life experience and learn outside of school.

I already did several internships in hospitals and elderly care homes, so I’m used to working with people of different ages. I get along well with children as well as older people and generally enjoy social interaction. I also have pets myself and feel comfortable around animals.

At the moment I work in a café, where I learned how to stay organized, work under pressure and communicate with customers in a friendly way. I’m reliable and responsible, but also a rather spontaneous person. I like working in a team, but I can also handle tasks independently and I usually learn new things quickly.
