Hello, I`m Johanna, 28, from the south of Germany.

I grew up with my three siblings on a small farm in a typical bavarian village in the alps, that's why I guess, I was always connected to nature and the "simple" way of life. I like being outside a lot. Hiking, running or swimming in cold lakes and rivers makes me feel alive.

For the last couple of years, I did a mix of city live and countryside - following studies on Environmetal Management and Agriculture- while travelling from time to time, learning about life. I like the idea of using natural systems and functions as well as cultivating own food to depend less on bigger systems and learn from people around me from day to day. Sharing and helping each other has been an important influence to me when growing up and still guides me today.

I`m grateful to learn and practice any new skills and open to share personal experiences. As I got the chance to meet great travelers over the last years and also experienced this kind of hosting, I really appreciate every host, who puts their effort into such possibilities for workawayers.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- farm experience since a child and worked one summer at a hut in the swiss alps (milking cows, making butter and other milkproducts, taking care of visitors, gardening, fencing,...)
- gastronomy: 10 years of experience in different restaurants and cafes as servant, barista and dish-washer;
- hostel work experience (cleaning, reception, welcoming,..) in Ireland or Chile
- gardening with permaculture principles: growing own vegetables, woofing in different countries

In case you have a shortage of free beds, I always carry my tent and sleepingbag and wouldnt mind using it during my stay
