Im interesting in traveling to get to know the more local areas. I love interacting with locals wherever I go, even if my language skills aren't the best. Being in the countryside is my favorite.

Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Marcus, and I'm a 23 year old currently backpacking through Central and South America from January until May 2023.
I just recently returned from my first solo trip, where I traveled western Europe and got to meet many amazing people along the way, many of which I still keep in touch with today, and I hope to visit again soon!
My next journey began on January 9th. and so far I've made my way through Mexico, and I'm looking to stay in Guatemala for a while as well. i will continue through South America, ending in Brazil, with stops in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and maybe a few more countries in between. I am planning on traveling through most of the Spring, probably until May (although I have no solid end date yet). Although I have a rough plan of where I want to go, I tend to plan as I travel, to allow the trip to be more flexible. Im looking forward to meeting new people on this next trip, and experiencing travel through a more local perspective. I am excited to learn new skills and languages with the help of people who are willing to teach them and I have a huge passion for language learning, music, environmentalism, anthropology, history, cooking and much more! I love to be able to learn from the interesting friends that I meet along the way and I enjoy meeting new people from all sorts of backgrounds that engage in interesting and productive conversation. I strive to learn and grow more as I go my way through this life!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a good intermediate understanding and spoken ability in Spanish, as well as basic comprehension in French and Portuguese. I have some experience with manual labor from helping my Father with the Airbnb he manages in the area where i'm from. This work includes cutting grass, digging, basic gardening, painting etc. Aside from this, I have a genuine love for cooking and food and would love to learn more recipes from the places I visit.
