Hi! Thank you for checking out my profile! 😊 My name is Joanna (26 years old) and I am a "freshly cooked" doctor in a way that I graduated last year and now I am completing my internship programme but for now I don't want to commit to a full-time Healthcare job, hence I am on the lookout for workaway options around the world for the next 4-7 months. I travel regularly and I've done this type of exchange a few times in the past ( mainly household chores,cooking, some light garden work) and to me this is one one best ways to explore the world- I love being able to settle down somewhere for a longer period of time instead of hopping trains, buses, planes, accomodations every few days or so. And the friendships I gain thanks to a longer stay are really magical ✨️ additionally, this time I am considering applying for a work holiday/ work and travel visa to one of the countries that grant his type of visas to polish citizens, so I can travel longer without the fear of coming back home completely broke 😆
As for me, I am hard-working, responsible and reliable. I am the "mom friend" in my group of friends, as we joke among ourselves. I am a very active person, both physically and intelectually. Sport is my therapy! Especially the outdoor activities, such as hiking and cycling. I describe myself as a nerdy, geeky person and I love meeting people who want to share their knowledge with me and motivate me to strive to learn more.
I come from the countryside where my parents have a farm, so I have a great amount of experience with different animals. Also I am the oldest sibling and an aunt+ I've taken care of the little ones in the hospital therefore I don't mind supervising kids and playing with them🧸

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have work experience in the agriculture (Animal care and gardening to some extent) since I come from a farmers family. I've also taken care of numerous children and I am capable of dealing with them.
I would say that I have a general knowledge about home maintenance and cooking.
I've worked in some restaurants as kitchen help and a waitress.
Due to my education I possess vast medical knowledge but obviously I don't have any license to practice legally abroad, nevertheless when emergency happens, I am ethically bound to help 😊
I speak fluent English and I would be able to help someone practice this language. I am in the process of getting my C2 level certificate.
I am learning Spanish and I am communicative in this language. I also try to learn some German and French and I would like to get some help with that.
I don't fear hard work and sweat so I think that I would quickly learn the things that I would have to do, even if currently I don't possess those skills 😊

As I mentioned before, I am a geeky nerdy person and I would love to share knowledge with someone and gain inspiration from other people. I am especially interested in astrophysics and history- I am eager to learn some history of the region I would visit 🥰 I read quite a lot of books (right now mainly non-fiction) so we could start a small reading club 😄
I am a good fit for someone active because I can't live without moving my body! Hiking, cycling, kayaking, walking the dogs and so on- I'm in!
