Hello, I am Joanna. I am English but have lived and worked in Brussels for many years.
I am older than the average Workawayer. In fact I am 60, but I am lucky to be in good health and have plenty of energy. I have three children and two grandchildren, all of whom bring me much happiness - and other emotions sometimes!
I love living in Brussels, which is a green city, with lots of parks and forest areas, and wonderfully full of people with different cultures and languages. I speak good French, and also some Spanish, Italian and Dutch, all of which I enjoy practising when I get the chance.
I always want to spend my holidays being active, and have especially enjoyed hiking and cycling in several different countries. Really I just like to be in beautiful countryside, and to be active outdoors, and also to discover new places and meet new people for good conversation – and try new food! I like to eat mainly vegetarian but am flexible.
So I will be glad to help you look after your animals, work on your garden or farm, prepare meals, or just help with whatever needs doing around your place.
I am hoping for a chance to practise my Spanish - but I am happy also to speak English with you if you would like to practise.

I don't have any specialised skills such as carpentry. But I've been alive a long time, so I've done lots of things. These include running a household with three children and pets, looking after our garden, planning and cooking meals, voluntary work supporting young mothers in difficulty, organising cycling and walking holidays...
