Hello and welcome to our profile!
We are Jenske (29) and Jan (31), a Dutch couple that decided to leave The Netherlands in 2025 with our campervan 'Moes' to make meaningfull connections and amazing memories across Europe.
We are travelling in a slow and sustainable way. For us this means to stay somewhat longer in the same region, to really get to know it. Meet and help people wherever we can. And of course travel around without leaving a big environmental footprint.
We love to be creative and learn new skills as well as develop the ones we already have. We are big nature and hiking enthusiasts. Especially Jan can talk all day about hiking and camping gear.
If we look back on the travels we have made in the past, the people we have met and the friends we have made are by far the most valuable things that came out of it. Together we hope to find these kind of connections and beautiful experiences through WorkAway!

we are fluent in Dutch and English and love to speak French, although we are still at the beginner level. We are excited to learn more French and Spanish. (Watching films and series in these languages and the occasional conversation in the Carrefour just doesn't do the trick😉)

Our skillset varies so let's look at it from person to person :)
Jenske:
Loves to think of creative solutions and letting other people shine, an enthusiast with an ever-growing curiosity. Studied culture and media studies and ended up as a strategy consultant for the educational and media sector. Had numerous baby- and petsitting adresses when younger.
'I like to think out-of-the-box and will see various options. With that I hope to inspire people, just like they inspire me. Translated to something more practical: I like a variety of jobs coming up with a social media strategy or finetuning websites. Besides that I like to paint, reorganise, work with wood and help in the garden.'
Jan:
Loves to make people happy and feel comfortable, a connector with a very positive mindset. Studied to become a primary school teacher but eventually decided to work in accountmanagment (last employer: TooGoodToGo). Great organising skills and perseverance.
'It gives me a lot of energy to work on projects were you can see the progress while you are working your way to the result. So, this includes jobs like gardening, organising, cleaning, decorating, painting, smaller DIY projects, etc.
I also like to cook and share my interests in history, nature and random facts'.
We work great together as a team or in a larger group :)

Was noch ...
If you know any intersting hikes to make around, we are more than keen to step into our hiking boots and get going! Especially Jan is a hiking lover, with one of his biggest adventures to date: a hike from the most Northern part of The Netherlands all the way to Portugal. Jenske loves to zumba wherever she is, she would be happy to give an amateur lesson!
We both like to play boardgames from beginner to intermediate level and to be creative in an artsy way (draw, paint, write).
Of course there is a lot more to tell about us, but mostly we are interested in getting to know you!
