We are an outgoing couple who love discovering new places and cultures. We enjoy animals, gardening, outdoor tasks, general maintenance, and anything hands-on. We’re both quick learners and love gaining new skills.
We’re responsible, respectful, and easy to communicate with. We really enjoy teamwork, but are also comfortable working independently.
Our goal with Workaway is to contribute, learn, meet new people, and experience local life in a meaningful way.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
We are a motivated and practical couple with a strong interest in hands-on work and learning new skills. One of us is a trained psychologist and the other has a Master’s degree in Psychology. This background has given us excellent communication skills, patience, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to stay calm and organized in different situations.

Aside from our professional background, we both enjoy physical and practical tasks and have experience in:

Gardening and basic farm work
Animal care (dogs, cats, and farm animals)
Cooking and meal preparation
Cleaning and general household tasks
Basic maintenance / DIY work
Working independently and as a team

We learn quickly, adapt easily, and are always willing to help wherever it’s needed. We’re reliable, positive, and enjoy contributing in meaningful way

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Small family farm near Mackay ...)

We had the best time at Karen and Richard’s home! We got to experience and learn about all the farm animals, bottle feed baby goats and other various work around the farm. vom Host (Small family farm near Mackay ...) für Workawayer ()

Both Izabell and Moa are two lovely young ladies who are enjoying travelling around Australia, and soon NZ. They have been with us for almost four months; and have fitted in well with our family. They are a beautiful loving couple, who enjoy joining in with the family dynamics, chilling out together, having a laugh, cooking dinner and yet are very… read more respectful of having their own time and allowing us to have ours. They ask if they are doing a good job, often will seek clarification to make sure they are doing any job correctly, as they don't want to disappoint. This is a good thing as it means they are keen, interested and attentive. They both learn very quickly. They are keen to give anything a try and are not afraid of hard work. They keep the home clean and tidy and will help with the dishes every night, which is amazing.
While at my place they have learned a lot about animal care, feeding, keeping yards and pens clean, testing and worming animals, and general yard work. They will both have many memories when they leave to take home with them.
They both love the animals very much, and my house dogs will miss them greatly when they leave. (I will be checking their car to make sure one of my dogs is not inside!)
They also looked after our home and animals while we went overseas for a week, and was busy working away, along with a few days over Christmas so we could have family time, which was great to know they were looked after and loved. Both girls did everything as I showed them, which was great to see also. They do not hesitate to call you to check if they feel something is not right which is amazing, especially when dealing with animals, as things can go wrong so quickly if left unattended.
Moa is a vegetarian, no fish or meat, but super easy to please with food. Izabell is also a vegetarian, but now after being with us eats chicken, and does eat fish too. Again, super easy to feed. Both girls are not hard or difficult with this food choice of theirs.
Both Izabell and Moa will be a great addition to any workaway host, and you will not be disappointed having them in your home. This couple is loving, caring, honest, funny, respectful and just want to be part of your home in a loving non-judgmental way.
Wishing you both all the best for the rest of your travels and hope you enjoy your new life back home once you get there in a lovely bigger apartment with your cats and new dog:-)
