Hello!

My partner and I (Victoria) are beginning our travel adventures early next year in Jan 2024.

We are so excited to be travelling to South America and cant wait to be immersed in local culture, cuisines and to see everything we have read about!

I have a background in childcare. Primarily, I have worked in the US over many summers at camps, where I guide the campers in activities such as rock climbing, teaching music and swimming. Whilst at home, I work for a school which helps disadvantaged children who cannot attain mainstream school due to things such as autism and ADHD. In my free time, I love to surf, play music (piano and guitar) and I play rugby for my local team. My degree background is history and international relations, so we are really looking forward to exploring South America as it seems so rich in life.

Victoria has just completed her masters degree in Zoology, and is currently volunteering in Scotland where they have released wildcats in an effort to stop the species going extinct. Outside of that, you'll often find her reading (she loves fantasy books, like The Name of the Wind), hiking or attending shows. We actually just went to our first theatre show which was amazing! Victoria also loves to horse ride, and tends to muck out/clean tack at local farms or stables in exchange for rides, or just helps the owners exercise the horses.

Skills we can contribute:
- Cooking (veggie / vegan/ gluten free all fine)
- Cleaning (Victoria has worked and cleaned for B&Bs and pubs)
- Childcare
- Farm work (I have worked at as a lumberjack, and Victoria comes from a farming background)
- Pet care
- Horse care

If there are any skills you desire that we dont have, please let us know if you'd be interested in teaching us. We are very keen to help with eco-builds, painting/decorating, and general DIY so would be delighted to have the opportunity to learn the specifics of what you'd like us to do😄

To expand on our interests, we really love hiking mountains, wild camping, music (classical/indie/rock/electronic) and enjoy films such as the Lord of the Rings ☺️
