Hi, I'm Ian! I'm a 20 year old from the United States studying Geography in Malta. I love traveling and experiencing new places. I especially value learning about a place deeply and what life is really like, not just passing through. Creating connections with people from different communities through language learning or service projects is the most exciting part of traveling for me.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I have been to Kenya twice and both times included some volunteering. The first time was in Nairobi helping summer camps for kids in schools for a few weeks . The second time I went to Turkana, Kenya and joined a team building water wells and farms in the desert. In Kenya had opportunities to learn some of the local language but also teach kids some English even if it was just through short conversations. I learned skills to communicate with people effectively when we don't speak the same language.
I also spent three summers serving in the kitchen of a summer camp, so I know all about cooking for hundreds of people but there was lots of teamwork and communication to ensure every task was completed efficiently and on time. -
