🌟 Who I am & What motivates me

Hello! My name is Hiromu Suzuki. I am currently a Japanese student studying at a Folkehøjskole in Denmark (until 20 December 2025), where I am deeply immersed in learning about different cultures and educational philosophies every day.

My biggest strengths are my flexible adaptability and my positive energy.

Adaptable & Resilient: I can quickly adapt to any new environment or unexpected change without panicking, finding solutions while enjoying the process .

Positive & Goal-Oriented: I am good at encouraging those around me with a positive spirit, and I constantly pursue high goals

Curious Learner: I have a strong desire to learn and collect new information, and I genuinely enjoy acquiring new knowledge and skills, which I use to help others.

In Japan, my past work involved creating places for children and running public community centers. I have a deep interest in fostering intimate human relationships and expanding the possibilities within a community.

My skills center around "creative problem-solving" and "supporting the growth of people and organizations."

Community Building & Operations: I design and manage spaces and projects where people can gather, interact, and feel comfortable.

Creativity & Efficiency: I utilize creative ideas to generate solutions, and I can organize complex situations to establish efficient processes

Growth Support: I contribute to team development by spotting the potential in others and wholeheartedly supporting their growth

Toughness & Explorer Spirit: I have the physical and mental stamina from being in the volleyball club in high school and an explorer's club in university, which involved traveling all over Japan and backpacking abroad.

🌍 What I hope to learn or achieve

My goal with Workaway is to gain "practical skills through real-life experience."

I want to become deeply involved in the daily life and work of the host, allowing me to fully experience the living culture and customs that cannot be learned from textbooks.
I am keen to actively and practically learn new skills and knowledge outside my field, with a particular interest in the following areas:

Environmental conservation and sustainable living.
New approaches to regional revitalization and community development.
Local educational systems and parenting cultures (Leveraging my experience in children's play and education to learn from international practices).
I am committed to contributing to the host's tasks with my bright, positive attitude and high motivation to learn, and I want to provide value as a team member.

I am interested in contributing my skills to a Workaway host who values community and education. I have a background in public facility management and working with local communities in Japan, and I am eager to learn and help with your project.

My Experience and Skills:

・Education and Community
I hold a High School Teaching License for Social Studies in Japan. My professional experience includes managing public facilities such as libraries and community centers, as well as developing programs and safe spaces for children.

・Facility Management
I was involved in the practical planning and operation of public spaces, which has given me experience in basic management and community engagement.

・Interest in Development
I have a genuine interest in how education, community formation, and local development can improve people's lives.

・Adaptability and Openness
My recent experience includes living in a diverse residential environment at a Folkehøjskole in Denmark (August to December 2025). This has helped me become comfortable with the challenges and rewards of sharing life with people from various cultural backgrounds. I am flexible and always willing to take on new tasks and learn from the host.
